After a long period of missing out on performing, socializing and having fun, Theatr Ieuenctid Môn is back with familiar faces tutoring. A warm welcome to Gethin Llŷr Jones and Mia Ffransis Roberts. Gethin and Mia are former pupils of TIM Bach Llangefni and have shown passion in carrying this service on.
TIM is a scheme that provides innovative and experimental arts opportunities to children and young people in Anglesey. There is a warm welcome for primary children aged 7-11 and young people aged 12-18.
5 TIM sessions are held weekly in different locations across the island. The aim is to develop and nurture stage and film acting skills, to create improvised acting work, to try new genres and to perform publicly.
Mia said: “As a former member of TIM Llangefni, I’m delighted to be back there now as a sub-tutor. The fun, experiences, and the friends that I made there have undoubtedly given me the confidence to do so many things and now I’m training as a teacher. It’s so nice to see children from different schools making friends, gaining confidence and having fun here”.
Gethin added: “Being a sub-tutor at Theatr Ieuenctid Môn is a great experience and I love attending the different sessions in different areas across the island and seeing the children develop. As a pupil at TIM Bach Llangefni, I had the opportunity to make friends, develop skills and gain confidence by taking part in shows and performing publicly. It’s great to see the young children of Anglesey having the same opportunities that I had and I hope that these skills will help them develop and to take on different experiences in the future”.
TIM sessions will resume after Christmas on the 10th of January. What better way to start the new year? Please contact rich@mentermon.com if you’re interested in the sessions.
