After a long period of time without performing, socialising, and enjoying the arts, the opportunity for children to attend Theatr Ieuenctid Môn is back!
TIM is a project that offers experimental and innovative artistic opportunities to children and young people of Anglesey. We offer a warm welcome to children between 7 and 11 and to young people aged 12-18.
There are 5 weekly TIM sessions, held at various locations across the island. The intention is to cherish and develop performing skills for theatre and film, to create improvised work, to learn about and experiment with different genres and to perform publicly.
The usual membership fee won’t be charged for the first half term which means that everything will be offered totally free! Richard Owen, TIM’s project officer at Menter Iaith Môn said: “TIM means something different to everyone. We are keen to give every child or young person the chance to experiment, to socialise, to create new friends and to learn – about the arts and about themselves as individuals.”.
“It’s been a long and challenging period, and we feel that it is important we do our best for the next generation, to ensure that Welsh medium, creative provision recovers fully.”
Theatr Ieuenctid Môn wouldn’t be successful without our talented tutors. All sessions are run by local, experienced, and enthusiastic people. As well as the experience, this is a paid role and therefore a fantastic work opportunity for potential tutors.
We are now looking for more tutors to join us! Is this of interest to you? Or do you know of someone that would be a fantastic tutor, that is ready to offer children and young people of Anglesey memorable experiences?
